Our mission is to create a world where every pet has a loving home. For every Team Plover dog collar or leash sold, we commit to transporting one pet in need, on one leg of their freedom ride towards a better life and along with your purchase, you get a short video showing the pet you helped rescue! 

Our transportation services make pets in need of help, more accessible to loving homes. A mission this big is not something any single person can do alone. However, we know that if we all come together as a team, we can make it happen.

After graduating from University, our founder, Christian Marcello, decided to follow his heart and began volunteering as a rescue animal transporter. He joined a couple networks of relay drivers where him and others would volunteer their time and gas to bring pets from high-kill shelters in Quebec, to rescues around Toronto. 

During that time he saw first hand how rescue transportation was able to open up a world of possibilities to pets who were stuck in awful situations. He fell in love with the impact he was able to make and wanted to help as many other lives as he could. 

But he recognized that was what he was doing was extremely expensive and unsustainable. So when he started Team Plover, he built giving back, in the form of rescue transportation, directly into our model.

"Team Plover" - The Plover is a bird, but it's far from any ordinary bird. Most birds will search through grass or trees when it's time to find food. However, when the Plover is hungry, they are bold and fearless enough to fly into the mouth of a crocodile and pick the food out of the crocodiles teeth.

Now what the Plover has found a way to do, is do something that is typically entirely for itself (eat a meal), but has done it in a way that simultaneously is helping another species (it's cleaning the crocodiles teeth which is why the crocodile lets it happen)!

And at Team Plover, whenever you buy a Team Plover product, you are doing something for yourself by getting a beautiful product you and your pet love, while simultaneously doing something for a pet in need! But just as a single Plover can't help all the crocodiles in the world, a single person couldn't possibly help all the struggling pets in the world.

However, if we come together as one big team, we can!
